NBA 2K14 Online Component A Mess

by

It would appear that a number of NBA 2K14 players are experiencing technical issues with 2K Games’ latest basketball simulation on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, including server crashes and being completely unable to access certain features and modes within the game.

The Twitter feed of 2K Games employee @Ronnie2K has been inundated with angry messages and complaints from players who are all understandably more than a bit miffed about not being able to enjoy the game, even after a previous patch was supposedly meant to remedy NBA 2K14‘s myriad of online bugs and glitches. Ronnie and 2K have remained steadfast in reassuring customers that they’re working on fixing any problems, but haven’t – at the time of writing – given any indication as to how much longer these issues are likely to persist.

NBA 2K14 isn’t the only game to recently find itself under scrutiny over issues concerning online play. Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto V was infamously riddled with glitches and game-crashing bugs upon launch, while DICE has even gone so far as to cease work on all future Battlefield 4 DLC and other game projects currently in development until every problem with the Battlefield 4 servers has been fixed.
