SlasherJPC Reviews: Conception 2 Children of the Seven Stars
Bringing kids into battle is in interesting premise
Social interactions at the academy
The dungeons suffer from lackluster designs
Enemies come off as uninspired.
I came into Conception 2 pretty hyped, but by the 4-5 hour mark, I just couldn't find the will to play it anymore. While I do think there is a competent game in here somewhere, it just does a lot of things wrong that I can't look past nor enjoy. Still, it's a game that definitely needs to be played, and for people looking for a appetizer before the next Persona, Conception 2 just might hit the spot.
SlasherJPC’s ready to scratch that RPG itch, and this time he takes on Spike Chunsoft’s Persona….er….Conception 2: Children of the Seven Stars. While there are quite a few aspects that Conception 2 shares with the Persona series, it’s still a somewhat different take on the academy-attending-kids-socializing-with-other-tweens genre (whew!). Check out the video review below, as SlasherJPC tells us just what works, and what doesn’t, in Conception 2: Children of the Seven Stars.
