Back in 2010, a planned film adaptation of BioShock  halted development and was eventually shut down by series creator Ken Levine.

However, Courtnee Draper, the voice of BioShock Infinite’s Elizabeth, has stated that should the possibility of a BioShock film resurface, she would be up for reprising the role of the dimension jumping heroine.

“Are you kidding me?! Yes!” said Draper when speaking with IGN.

“Hopefully it doesn’t take 20 years and then I’m too old, and could only play Old Elizabeth, but I think that would be so phenomenal. It’s something I’ve been talking to Ken about too because I’m excited for it, I’d be really excited to see that come to life on the big screen.”

The fact that Draper and Levine have spoken about a film adaptation implies that despite the cancellation of the original BioShock  film, the possibility of another remains.

Draper also commented on the recent downsizing of BioShock  developer Irrational Games.

“I didn’t know it was happening until he released it and I saw the same letter everyone else did on Irrational’s website,” she said. “I’m excited to see what he does with it, and I think all the people at Irrational are incredibly talented and they’re being picked up on other games and franchises, so it’s exciting to see what he does next.”

Draper will appear as Elizabeth one more time in the last DLC for BioShock Infinite , Burial at Sea Episode Two , slated for release on March 25th.
