[Rumor] Early Titanfall Xbox 360 Copies May Have Slipped Into Players Hands

by

It seems that copies of Titanfall for Xbox 360 may have slipped into peoples hands days before release (April 8th) . Servers are not up yet, so the gamers actually owning the game does absolutely nothing for them except for sitting at a title screen, but comments about the frame rate at above 30fps with a 1 GB install with all of the same features of existing games are in play. Not only does this mean that we could potentially get some frame rate examples early, but it also shows us how “fantastic” the security on video games is at retailers. Laughable. Honestly I can not imagine why some copies would not mysteriously disappear, it is not like they are under the tightest security possible.

As to comments about Xbox360’s lower resolution (720p) and 30 FPS frame rate, who cares? It is a great game and it should run just as smoothly as any other game on the 360. If graphics are really a concern for you, stop complaining and get a PC.

Here’s a little update from Daryl Allison regarding what to expect from the 360 version:

TitanfallT-3“Titanfall on the Xbox 360 is the true experience: all the maps, modes, pilots, titans, weapons, burn cards, you name it, found in the Xbox One and PC versions. The game looks great, sounds great, and above all it plays great. There are of course some technical differences that are due to the technical limitations of the hardware – for example, the game runs above 30fps – but rest assured, the intense 6v6 wall-running, titan dropping action is all there.

We wanted Xbox 360 gamers playing Titanfall at the same time as everyone else, but it needed more time. EA and Respawn made the right call and the extra time has paid off. Titanfall on the Xbox 360 is definitely a game that Bluepoint Games is proud of, and we’re excited for you to get your hands on it. Beginning April 8th, millions of Xbox 360 gamers around the world will hear those thrilling words “Your titan is good to go. Call it when ready”, and we couldn’t be more excited.”From Blog update by Daryl Allison, Xbox 360 TitanFall Developer

Maybe we will get lucky and see some examples of 360 menu screens if people have indeed gotten their hands on them early…how exciting. I believe that if you enjoy a game enough, buy the damned thing.
