First Japanese PS4 Commercial Arrives
In what would be a change of strategy, PS4 was revealed with little mention of its release in Japan, with the console originally holding an “early 2014” release date. However, we all now know that the console is releasing on February 22 in Japan. Every previous PlayStation product – from PSone to Vita – were first released in Japan before they were made available to the rest of the world.
But since Sony were probably going to win in Japan by default, the limited supply of PS4 were instead sold in the ever-changing market of the West, which turned out to be a wise move, since the PS4 is officially declared the fastest selling console in history. Meanwhile, Japan was left without a console.
