Kinect Appearing Unplugged For Some
Some users have reported that their Kinect peripheral, while plugged in, is appearing as though it isn’t plugged in. A few of those reporting the issue were able to use their Kinect for a few hours and then, suddenly, the console isn’t recognizing the device. It could be an issue with the day one update as people are reporting that it was after the update that the issue began.
Calling Xbox Support might lead to an arrangement for a replacement Kinect. Calling the store where the console was purchased might just lead to a wait for restock to replace the Kinect. One user stated that leaving the Kinect plugged for 2 hours, then unplugging the console and plugging it back in helped the console recognize the Kinect again.
