Minecraft Played with Eyebrows
When you think of video games, you think of controllers and excellent button mashing skills, well at least I do. So when I stumbled upon the story of 19-year-old Alexander Kostov I was more than intrigued.
Kostov suffers from spinal muscular atrophy, a disease which renders the person almost motionless due to muscle weakness and deterioration. That did not stop his love for video games though. A viral video features Kostov playing Minecraft with his eyebrows! Video game charity, SpecialEffect, donated amazing technology that allows Kostov to play craft by simply moving his eyebrows. By combining voice, hand motions, and eye-gazes he is able to explore the expansive world of Minecraft. Check out the video of Kostov kicking ass in Minecraft!
This opens up an entirely new world for young people suffering from detrimental diseases. They can now enjoy the video games we all got to when we grew up. Hopefully technology will advance further, we could be sitting in virtual reality very soon.
