Nintendo Registers New IP Under Code Name S.T.E.A.M.
News have broken of Nintendo and their newly registered IP under code name S.T.E.A.M. which, from the U.S. patent filing, stands for Strike Team Eliminating the Alien Menace.
Nintendo has been falling a bit short with the launch of their Wii U after the next-gen PS4 and Xbox One were huge successes.
Strike Team Eliminating the Alien Menace sounds very much like a sci-fi or a fantasy game but after all this could be nothing. Remember Nintendo Zii? They have also trademarked Cii, Bii, Oii, and Yii as well. It seems they are taking over the ii category entirely so Zii fits right in.
Code name S.T.E.A.M sounds much more serious however and nintendo needs something big to pick them back up after their Wii U launch didn’t meet their predictions.
There is little news out right now but as it is released we will cover more of it.
