PS4 Surpasses 7 Million Units Sold Globally

Sony have just announced via the PlayStation blog that the PS4 has shipped over 7 million units globally as of April 6th 2014. Not only that, but 20.5 million copies of PS4 software has been sold at retail and on the PlayStation store worldwide.

Sid Shuman, the Social Media Manager for PlayStation, also revealed in his latest post that some new details will be shared soon regarding the upcoming PS4 firmware update. We’ll bring you more on that when more details are shared.

It will be interesting to see if Microsoft release any updated figures on units sold in the coming days.
