SanctuaryRPG, the Popular ASCII-Art RPG Hits Greenlight
SanctuaryRPG, a free-to-play ASCII-art RPG from Black Shell Games and the self proclaimed “most ambitious ASCII-RPG of 2014” has just been put up on Steam’s Greenlight service for user voting. If you are a fan of this game or similar ones, be sure to give it a thumbs up.
Currently, the game is in beta, but seems to be fully functional and has been receiving some great reviews from outlets such as Twinfinite and 8-BitCentral. We will also have our own review going up soon.
You don’t see many ASCII games anymore, but it’s nice to see a fresh take on an older style of gaming, drawing from both roguelikes and older J-RPGs. It even features chiptune music!
