Xbox One Sees Its First Price Drop In The UK
The Xbox One sees its first price cut merely 2 months after launch. A store in the UK, Zavvi, has given the console a £20 price cut, leaving the console to sit at a pretty £409.99 before shipping and taxes. That would leave the console at approximately a $33 price cut for a price of $466.99.
This could be the start of something big. It could cause a domino effect and other stores might follow suit. A lot of people are still displeased with the $500 price tag that comes along with the console. That isn’t to say the console isn’t selling; it’s in fact doing pretty well for itself thus far. However, the past has shown that a price cut helps boost sales.
It is unclear at this time if the price cut comes from Microsoft or from the retailer themselves. Sometimes retailers take it upon themselves to sell an item below MSRP so there’s a possibility that’s what happened here. In any event, let’s hope there’s a ripple effect all the way to the West so we can all get the console for a reasonable price and experience the joys of Dead Rising 3 and Killer Instinct with everyone else.
