Xbox One Tomb Raider Definitive Edition Scoring Better than PS4 Version on Metacritic
Despite some negative reaction about the Xbox One version of Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition by some fans, the game seems to be a hit with reviewers, period, garnering 84 percent for the PlayStation 4 version, and 87 percent for the Xbox One version. Even though the Xbox One version is thought of as the more deficient version of the two, it still has an average that’s 3 points higher than the PlayStation 4 version.
Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition on the PlayStation 4 has an average of 84% out of 37 reviews (34 positive, 3 mixed), and an average user score of 6.9 with 14 positive user reviews and 9 leaning negatively.
Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition on the Xbox One has an average of 87% out of only 13 reviews (12 positive, 1 mixed), and an average user score of 6.3 with an even split of 3 positive and 3 negative user scores.
This is only a snapshot from today, Saturday, February 1st, 2014. As always, the more reviews that come in, the more the averages will flux. In a few more months, we’ll probably see some settling of the overall scores once even more site review scores are added to the listings for the two versions, but, as of today, the Xbox One version is averaging slightly better.
